Announcements / 2024 Observer Calendar Order
« Last post by Victor.Abraham on October 20, 2023, 10:56:18 AM »
It's that time again! Every year we place a bulk order for the Observer Calendar and we save on shipping by picking them up at the RASC office. The calendars showcase a stunning collection of celestial images captured by amateur astronomers. Each photograph is thoughtfully accompanied by an enlightening caption. The calendar offers extensive astronomical information, including daily moonrise and moonset times, noteworthy lunar and planetary alignments, eclipses, and meteor showers. Recognized for its exceptional visual quality and design, the RASC Calendar has earned five prestigious printing awards for its outstanding production.

Note: There's a further discount if we order more than 10 and I will let you know as soon as we reach that number. In the meantime the regular price is $22.95 plus tax ($24.10).

I will take orders up until our next General Meeting in November (Nov 16th) and then you can send e-transfer funds to treasurer@hamiltonrasc.ca.

At this point I just want a list of who's interested and quantity. The plan is to have the calendars available at the General Meeting in December.

Cheers and Clear Skies!

Notice.  At this time, I do not know what is happening with regular meetings.  It is possible that the first Zoom meeting of every month will be part of a regular Centre meeting.  It is also possible that this calendar will be modified to eliminate Zoom meetings on the first Thursday of each month.  Watch this space for details and I hope to see lots of faces on the 31st.

Yeah ... the pair of them appear to be serial criminals with years-long activity, each of them.
Not shoplifiting, for sure ... and not homicide, for sure ... but very definitely lifestyles of ongoing middle-of-the-road criminality, it would seem.
And these are just the matters that there have been charges or convictions for already.
Makes you wonder if there is a pile of other activity that they just haven't been nailed on .... yet.
Whadya think the chances are of that ...., eh ?

Jeff, Thanks for this update. Wish I had the time to go up to Milton, just to give him the evil eye.

There is a MICHAEL PORTER on the Milton court docket for Wednesday.  9 a.m.
That is the courthouse at 491 Steeles Ave. E.
He is up on 3 matters, 2 of them Bail considerations.
Rather suspect this is the individual ... allegedly involved in the Obs case.
We know the male suspect was being held in Halton, on an unrelated criminal matter, awaiting bail and eventual hand-over to Hamiiton police.

Oh one other thing for the posts (both website and email to members). The initial target for this was September for our new year, but with the help of Rhea Sekhon, our intern, we were able to get it up and running a whole month sooner!!!
