I saw a notice about the Canon sensor on a web site dates earlier this year. No word if it being in a camera yet - just developed as a sensor.<br>

&nbsp;&nbsp; My Canon 7D has 4.3u square pixels.&nbsp; The new 6D has larger pixels that weigh in at 6.55u.&nbsp; That gives it the ability to have a much higher effective ISO range.&nbsp; It is apparently quite low noise even when working at ISO102400.&nbsp; I have also heard that it takes
 one dark frame for multiple light frames.&nbsp; Since the best way to do dark subtraction is to have the camera do it, this is a boon to astro imagers as wasting scope time doing darks is a reason why a lot of imagers do their own dark subtraction.<br>
