Title: March Club Meeting - Mr. Dale Armstrong - "RASC Observing Certificates"
Post by: Gary.Colwell on February 26, 2020, 12:44:28 PM
Be sure to set aside time to join us on Thursday March 5, 2020 at the Royal Canadian Legion in Waterdown ON to hear Mr. Dale Armstrong speak on the topic  "RASC Observing Certificates - How far will you go?
Dale is a member of the London Centre RASC.

Dale's Bio:

I've been an RASC member since 1975.  Lately I've been involved with a few projects at Western, helping create a graduate course in space policy, and also helping construct the Colbri Fast-Photometry Array - a new observatory designed for exoplanet searches.

My main interests are deep sky observing, and planets (sketching and imaging).  I have one more object to go to complete the Deep Sky Challenge.

I am on the RASC National Observing Committee and, for my talk,  will do an overview of the RASC's certificate programmes, and will also show slides from my (current) trip to Arizona.
