Title: Aldebaran occultation Tuesday night

IF the weather is good tomorrow (Tuesday Jan 18) evening, Aldebaran will be occulted by the Moon between 9:18pm and 10:35 pm!

I stumbled upon this very interesting article about tonight's occultation and the history of Aldebaran (below the discussion and charts about the occultation).

Did you know Aldebaran was once the pole star?  Not only that, but it was effectively a DOUBLE pole star with Capella back around -447,890 BC...what a great example of how the sky is changing ever so subtly over our lifetimes, but it has a huge impact as you increase the scale of time.
