Title: Lecture at the Waterdown Public Library
Post by: Roger Hill on May 03, 2016, 12:26:13 PM
Roger Hill will be giving "How High is the Sky?
Or, How to measure the universe with a piece of string, a candle, and a train whistle."

This is the history of how mankind measured the size of the Universe.

There is a patio at the library (163 Dundas St E), so I'd like to do some Sidewalk Astronomy, too.

We need at least two,  and preferably three, volunteers with telescopes.  One each for the Moon, Saturn and Mars.

Kudos to you, Roger, for doing this talk. I would love to help but my wife and I are off to Dublin that day. Good luck.
