Title: TIMBER! Observatory Tree Removal Work Party
Post by: Gary.Bennett on October 18, 2017, 09:08:36 PM
Let's make it a party!

Stage 3 of tree removal at the club observatory is all set to happen on Saturday Nov 4 and WE NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE!

Work crews have already done most of the hard work over the summer. Now we have a giant pile of tree trunks and branches to clear up. We'll be renting an industrial "chipper" so, with enough hands, it should be easy work.

The fun begins at 10:00 and we'll work until we're done, or 3:00, whichever comes first. Even if you can only spare a few hours, it will be a big help.

We'll have a BBQ and chefs on site to feed your hunger. How many will we be feeding? We hope.... quite a few.

Your service will qualify as "sweat equity" which means we'll wave the annual "key-fee". That means, if you qualify (member for 1-year, 19 or older, trained on equipment), you can have a key to use the observatory and we won't charge the annual $25.00 "key-fee".

Please let us know if you can give us a hand. Also, let us know approximately what time you plan to be there. Please contact:
Gary Bennett (gary at bendun dot net) or Bob Prociuk (bob dot prociuk at gmail dot com) OR reply to this post.
