If it is Clear: Guidance will be offered for people to work towards their Messier, Explore The Universe, or Luna, certificates.
Bring your own 'scope, and if you'd like some help with it, or have any questions, then this is the Night for you!
If you don't have a 'scope, then you may be able to borrow one of the Centre's 8" Dobsonians. If you're currently borrowing one, this is the night to bring it back.
IF it is cloudy, then I will offer one of the NOVA topics:
• Observing fundamentals
• Motions of the Sky and Seasons
• The Solar System
• Telescope and Binocular Types and Using Them
• The Moon and Eclipses
• Charts, North, Distance, Position and Brightness
• Star Designations, RA, Dec. and Deep Sky Objects
Another cloudy night...sigh...
I'll be at the observatory until about 8:30 or so, in case someone shows up.
This time I'll make sure that I bring my key with me!
Hi Roger
I am plan on being there when the gates open (ish).
If it's cloudy I get to learn something. If it's not cloudy I get to learn something. :)
See you then.
Bill
Thank you very much Roger for another awesome night at the observatory! Heavy METUL nights are my favourite night of the month. Especially when the nights are clear & you remember your key. I was actually able to photograph the Lunar X & V! Its always great seeing friends & meeting a few new ones.
Maybe next month I'll have a new mount for my telescope
Indeed .... X marks the spot.
Well done, Gavin.
This is a fleeting target/opportunity and you nailed it!

Gavin, Nice moon shot!
Have you decided on a brand and model of mount yet?
Ed
