[RASC Hamilton Special Announcement] First Observing Night

Our first general observing night will be this Friday, December 11th, 7 PM, at the Observatory. You are welcome to bring your own telescopes, binoculars, or try out the club's equipment: 16" Ritchey–Chrétien, 14" Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain, and a couple of Dobsonians (which you can borrow afterward through the club's loaner telescope program). If you just bought your first telescope, there will be people around who can help you get started with it.

Remember to dress warmly, as if it will be 10 degrees colder than it actually is!

If the sky is not clear that night, watch out for another e-mail postponing the event.

Directions from Highway 6 North of Hamilton:
Take Concession 7 East eastbound, cross Centre Road.
Continue on 7E, keep going past railroad tracks, to near end.
Observatory driveway is on the right just before the stop sign.
Directions from Mississauga or Milton:
Britannia Road past Highway 25, Guelph Line, Cedar Springs Road to End.
South 1 Block on Milborough Townline to Concession 7 East.
Our gate is on the south side of the last lot (south west).
