The next visual observation night will be this Friday, January 8th at 7 PM, at the Observatory. You are welcome to bring your own telescope, binoculars, or try out the club's equipment: 16" Ritchey–Chrétien, 14" Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain, and a couple of Dobsonians (which you can borrow afterward through the club's loaner telescope program). If you just bought your first telescope, we can help you get started. Remember to dress warmly – as if it's 10 degrees colder than it actually is! I have room for 10 only. Please email me off line at ablanchard at cogeco.ca if you want to attend. You will need a laptop and a copy of images plus installed and working plus an extension cord. You can download a 30 day free trial of pix insight. I will provide you with data to install provided by Ron, so you can follow along and process. If more than 10 people contact me I will have a draw. Hope you can make it, as this is a rare opportunity to see how this all works.
