[RASC Hamilton Special Announcement] Lumberjack Day at the Observatory - This Saturday

The chain saws have been procured but the grass trimmer was not available.
If anyone has a good one bring it tomorrow. Also pruning cutters and limb
saws.

Only 2 days until Lumberjack Day. Saturday, June 17. Rain or Shine! We need
all hands-on deck to make light work of a big job. 

 

Start time is 10 AM

 

We'll have several chain saws, and if you own one, more is better.

 

You do NOT need to man a chain saw if you are not comfortable with that.
There is plenty other chores to do that includes:

*	Grass cutting
*	Clean-up inside the buildings
*	Hauling cut branches out of the forest.

 

Bring these things:

*	Hat, sunscreen, mosquito repellent
*	Work gloves
*	Wear ratty clothing and boots if you have them

We also need

*	Eye protection, hearing protection
*	Hard hat
*	Long sturdy ropes
*	Long handle Pruning cutters
*	Limb saws

 

Our BBQ will serve the usual burgers/dogs.

 

Park along the road. If you are bringing tools, unload in the parking lot.

 

See you Saturday.
