Wow! That's good stuff!

 

For anyone even thinking of trying their hand at Astrophotography, the Canon
XSi is ideal. Forget about Mega-Pixels. Bigger (but fewer) pixels capture
more light than current gadzillion MP cameras. Remember, you are imaging
objects that are REALLY faint!

I've got a few odds and ends for sale/trade, hope you don't mind me posting
to the list.

 

Canon XSi DSLR w 18-55 image-stabilized lens.

With original box, batteries, and also a memory card. Not modified. Thinking
$250ish ? Make an offer.

This camera is the ideal started astro digital camera, and can be modified
inexpensively for even more red sensitivity.

 

Also available:

Canon LP-E5 Battery - fits above, some other models too.

Canon BG-E5 battery grip (fits XS, XSi, T1i).

Canon ACK-E5 AC Adaptor.

 

Coronado SolarMax 70mm Telescope.

This is an ideal scope for viewing the sun in Hydrogen-Alpha. 

It is a made-in-the-USA Coronado (i.e. Alan Lunt original), not the cheaper
built Meade versions. 

Includes SolRanger finder, mounting bracket, carry case. $1600 negotiable.

 

I'll probably have some other goodies, some freebies to a good home,  etc.
