RASC Hamilton ISS Solar Transit on August 27

Hi
Any viewing of the sun during daylight, ever, requires proper filtration. Either a Mylar solar filter or a Hydrogen Alpha solar telescope are absolutely required. The transit will only be visible with a properly equipped filter, and the ISS will transit across the sun in a period of about one second... or less. While it might be possible to see the station if you are watching the sun with a solar-equipped telescope, it's much more likely that you can get an image with a camera shooting video of the whole sun's disk, such as a DSLR.

Fyi - a clear view of the western horizon will be necessary, as the sun will be at 15 degrees elevation or less at transit.
Weather forecast at the moment not looking great, however.
