We are asking for your assistance in identifying and encouraging exceptional young people with an interest in science, astronomy, space, technology, and exploration to apply. Attached is a PDF flyer that we would greatly appreciate you sharing with: • Teachers  • Guidance departments  • STEM coordinators  • Scout and Guide leaders  • School newsletters  • Student clubs and enrichment programs  • Interested students and families   This program is designed to give motivated students a rare hands-on experience in observational astronomy under the guidance of experienced amateur astronomers and educators. Participants will learn: • Telescope operation  • Night sky navigation  • Observational techniques  • Scientific thinking and teamwork  • Safe and effective observing practices   There is no cost to participate. Students accepted into the program who successfully complete the required activities will receive their own telescope to keep. These telescopes are being provided through the generosity of an anonymous donor and represent a substantial investment in encouraging the next generation of young scientists and explorers. We would sincerely appreciate your help in distributing the attached flyer and helping us reach deserving students throughout the Hamilton and Halton regions.
