Hi, Colin;

    That would be me who made those 35mm slides of the key frames from the 
1932 solar eclipse film.  The original film was actually 16mm (as 8mm didn't 
appear until the 1940's).  I did that archiving project late in 1980's or 
early 90's (I will need to look that up).

    Does anyone know where the original film is being kept? Hope it's still 
in HC's posession somewhere - or at least is being stored somewhere safe 
(not that we have a projector for it anymore - and anyway, it would likely 
be too brittle to project).  But it is now possible to digitally duplicate 
it completely frame by frame for animation on a pc.   A worthy project.

    There are also some b/w 35mm slides made from HC's old lantern slides by 
former member Garry Woodcock.  Those are archived here.

    As for identifying the folks in the photos, a detailed search of the 
Centre's hand-written or typed minutes may reveal some names.  I have copies 
of the minutes archived here.
