Hello Roger as I mentioned I was looking at a Canon Rebel XSI.Its also an EOS model is this still workable?thanks Klaas.

Auroral activity will be high(7/9). Weather permitting, highly active
auroral displays will be visible overhead from Inuvik, Yellowknife,
Rankin and Igaluit, to Portland OR, Cheyenne, Lincoln, Springfield, and
New York City, and visible low on the horizon as far south as Carson
City, Oklahoma City, and Raleigh.



Bring any camera that is capable of 30 second exposures, preferably can
be attached to a camera tripod, and where you can turn the flash off.
The wider the field of view the better...no telephotos or telescopes are

So...if you're NOT going to the armchair astronomy tonight, please park
along the south side of 7th Concession...we'll set up cameras on the
north side so headlights don't interfere with the view as much.  Oh,
bring a lawn-chair too, dress warmly and I'll see you there about 8pm.

Remember...there are no guarantees with the Northern Lights, but this
looks really good!
