Just a reminder that we will have Dr. Mark Richardson from the Arthur B. MacDonald Canadian Astroparticle Physics Research Institute who will be giving a talk on the institute and it's current studies.  Below is his bio, a synopsis of the talk and the meeting invite.  Please try to make it out as this should be a very interesting talk...

Mark Richardson is the Education and Outreach Officer at the Arthur B. McDonald Canadian Astroparticle Physics Research Institute. Mark was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he fell in love with the night skies. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics at Saint Mary's University, he escaped the winter weather and did a PhD in Astrophysics at Arizona State University. Mark studies how galaxies form and change over time in an effort to understand our own place in the cosmos. Mark has since held research positions at Oxford University and the American Museum of Natural History in New York and joined Queen's University and the McDonald Institute in 2018. Finally, he is a recent member of the RASC Kingston Centre.

Synopsis:
Mark will speak about the McDonald Institute, its history and mission, and the range of science research initiatives taking place there. He will also speak to the broad education and outreach programs the Institute is running with the public and schools. Finally, if time allows, Mark will give a brief highlight of his own research trying to understand the impact of stellar births and deaths on their host galaxies.
