Observatory Improvements - Parking Lot Grading

It's happening at last!

Those of you who like to set-up telescopes in the observatory parking lot already know, it can be a pretty messy adventure in Winter or after rain. Thanks to member Dino DiSabatino, we're going to "drain the swap".

In the next 2 weeks, perhaps even as early as this week, work will begin. The first step is to grade the lot so water can drain. Then we'll add some clean gravel to finish the job. We're getting a real bargain on the job, so we are "filler work" and it may take until Fall until it's finished. We believe, finished or not, the parking lot will still be usable if you want to set-up equipment.
