[RASC Hamilton Special Announcement] Tomorrow, May 30 @ 8:00PM a "double-header" At The Observatory - Special Board Meeting AND Astrophotography Night

We have 2 events going on tomorrow night at the observatory. A
Double-Header!!! Suggestion....if you're going to be there for 1, may as
well make it 2 !

 

Tomorrow night is a special session for the Board of Directors and you are
all welcome to attend (as are all of our board meetings).

 

We will be hearing about upcoming changes to our bylaws. These changes are
necessary to comply with changes to laws that govern all not-for-profit
organizations. We are hoping that we can have a simple (quick) summary that
lays-out how they will differ from the bylaws we have been operating under
for many years now. 

 

Tomorrow night is also Astrophotography Night (this is the rescheduled date)
and the weather looks promising. Clear skies or not, this meeting will take
place. If we are fortunate we will be doing Planets using a webcam. If the
skies have other plans we will demonstrate how to process webcam images.
Believe it or not, planets are rather challenging. We expect to see surface
details on our bright planets but our turbulent atmosphere throws us a
curve. Come and find out how to fool Mother Nature!
